You must have missed all the interviews where he says he's not ready for Mayweather yet but he would like the chance to fight him further down the line. In any case, you won't meet a world level fighter who doesn't think he can beat the best. Without that belief and confidence, they would never be a champion.
He never fought Prescott again because Prescott went on a losing run against average fighters. And Khan moved up to 140 as he struggled with the weight at 135. Prescott stayed at 135, and has only recently moved up to 140. Khan's has always maintained that he'd fight him again. You can hardly say he's not got the bottle for it since he made a voluntary defence against Marcos Maidana who is a massive puncher at 140.
As for Hatton steamrollering him...
Hatton was a good fighter, but there was a reason he was kept away from fighters who had fast hands, and threw punches in combinations. As soon as he left Warren and fought Luis Collazo, it became obvious why Warren had been so selective about his choice of opposition. Good fighter, but to say he 'would ov shit all over Khan' is frankly insane.
Mayweather and Pacquiao would obviously beat him. Ortiz is 50-50, although Khan floored him 3 times in the amatuers in a first round stoppage win, so i wouldn't hold up huge hope for Ortiz going full circle and battering Khan. The only reason i'd give Ortiz a chance is because he can dig a bit. Problem is, he quit against Maidana because he was being hit too much, so unless he got Khan out of there early, his heart would be tested big time. In any case it would be exciting. Mosley can't pull the trigger anymore so he won't be beating any top level fighter.
Hatton fought Callazo at 147 and after that fight everyone knew that weight was pretty much beyond him and he only fought at it once again in his loss to Mayweather. Also i think Hatton would of beat Khan as he used to get inside and tie people up and as we saw in the last fight Khan hates that
I fail to see how the weight played a huge part. He was almost knocked out because he has no way of dealing with a fighter who is fast and accurate. Collazo didn't lean on him, he didn't use his strength to walk him back. He just hit him often and accurately. What did Hatton do to stop this? Nothing. He literally held on for dear life.
What happened when he faced Pacquiao? As soon as Pacquiao opened up, Hatton was down. Then down again, then knocked out. Granted, Pacquiao is a freak, but he'd not had an early stoppage since stopping a washed up Erik Morales down at Super-Featherweight, in a fight where Morales was in no condition to even be in the ring. He just doesn't have the basic defensive skills to deal with that type of fighter. He can't counter, he doesn't really move his head.
Against Mayweather he did well in the sense that he closed the distance, but he only did so because it was obvious that Mayweather have tortured him had he stood off him. His aggressiveness wasn't rewarding because he didn't really land anything, and then once he stopped doing that, he was pretty much hit at will.
I'm not saying Hatton wouldn't have a chance, because Khan isn't as good as the above 3, but Hatton certainly wouldn't piss it (not that it was you who suggested he would).
