Staying at the HEM hotel Amsterdam 4 of us in one room £40 on the night of the game £10 each happy days. You only need somewhere to crash. Ten mins from the centre.

It's not right in the heart of the city but it's pleasant and close enough. You're not short of bars anywhere in Amsterdam to be honest. I'd prefer to be more central, and I am, but it's fine.jrb said:Didsbury Dave said:it's called dam square. And there is tons of budget accommodation around there. Just go on Expedia or similar and there are absolutely loads
Dave.
Quick question.
What's Vondelpark like for bars/cafes, etc.
Been told it's a 15 minute tram ride or 30-40 minute walk into the centre.
Worth staying there or not?
Cheers.
