An Evening with Gazza

He was asked whether he thought fergie wouldve disciplined him better

He said “well Ferdinand jump a fence to escape a drugs test, cantona kung fu’d a fan, giggs shagged his sister in law and rooney shags grannys, so no, not really”
Have they got a wife beating ****.

He attended a detox centre & in 48 hours had handed wads of cash to residents, took them to the pub, left then posted a picture of himself drinking champers to Centres Facebook page.

Do people really think he’s as good as Jack or Phil?

Last night at Edgeley Park. He put on a decent show

No doubt he wasted a chunk of his talent but for me the best ever english player.

Whos yours ?
Setting aside the fact that the guy's a complete fuckwit, I would argue that he's a long way short of being "the best ever english player".

But it's still a great question. Charlton, Greaves, Shearer, Lineker, Banks, Keegan, Gerrard, Hoddle - all ahead of him and for me ahead of them all would be Bobby Moore.

I’d also put Michael Owen, David Beckham, Frank Lampard, Sol Campbell, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Gareth Barry, Stuart Pearce, David Platt, Ashley Cole, David Seaman and many others above him

Can't stand the bloke. Decent player though....best ever, nah.
Midfielders I'd say Gerrard, Lampard, Charlton, Bell, Hoddle, all above him.

Horrific waste of an incredible natural talent.

I hate the way people look up to fools like this, he is a piss head who has been given so many chances to "start again" , yet he blows it each and every time.

Just amazed that he is still with us.

He should have been the greatest English player ever but his antics fooked that up and Roger Milford who had he done his job correctly in 1991 may have given Gazza a longer career

Insanely talented player.

Would’ve loved him to have been around in this modern era where sports science and player welfare are much, much better.
I think that could cut either way. Yes he possibly would have better care and guidance nowadays, but equally his flaws may have stopped him getting to the top earlier - can't see a teenage gazza progressing in our academy.
