And so it begins...

I highly doubt Everton would reject 35 Million , Milner and Say Rodwell on loan for the season. Meaning we would only need to shift , Negredo Garcia And Richards

Negredo still wants out - that's £20m

Garcia or Nastasic, £10m or £15m, respectively.

Rodwell is another £10m

Sinclair - £3m

Richards £6m

Guidetti - £5m

(and that's without even factoring in a sale of Milner (£10m)

It's actually closer to £60m, but it leaves the club with plenty of change to bring in two huge names.

I must say , i am disappointed in the beast and that he wants out
Either himself, his family, or both, don't like it here. It's nothing to be disappointed in him about. Does he have a kid? If he does, imagine he's going home every day and his kid is crying his eyes out saying he hates it, he misses his friends etc. You'd have to be heartless to not consider moving back to the familiarity of Spain. Footballers are more than just an asset. They have personal problems and feelings too.

Have to agree with you mate.Will/would be sorry to see him go,but we won two trophies with him and he certainly was a class act.Something went pear shaped after his shoulder injury and for some reason he never appeared to be the same player again.
Would sooner keep Jovetic as he could easily fill in as either a striker or midfielder.
Sometimes things don`t work out and I would imagine they would let the Beast go,based on his families home sickness and we had a replacement for him in good time.

Given our struggles over recent years trying to get players out of the door, I would be amazed if a) We managed to get buyers for all of them and b) We got anything like those prices, especially for the likes of Rodwell.

However, if we did hit the jackpot and managed to sell the lot, then for me we should be going for Barkley and Vidal.
I think those are realistic prices if not actually conservative. Why do people on here always put prices up for players we're interested in but then try to give ours away?

He seemingly doesn't know where his head is at. Clearly a non-footballing issue, which are always the most difficult to overcome.

Perhaps it's not him, but his family?

That seems a lot of players to shift quickly in order to bring in Barkley before the start of the season. Imagine we would want Barkley (& maybe one other) in before the trip to St James Park.

Do we have some buyers lined up already for these players Tolm?

Not really a lot of players when you consider four of them were out the door, anyway, and have less than 30 appearances between them in the last two years.

Rodwell has plenty of interest. Transfer window has only just started for the majority of clubs who don't have the spending power of the top six.

TH knows sweet FA - not a mention of Gove moving from education.....

Apologies, I was on luncheon, yesterday, with the interior minister of Abu Dhabi.

What can you do?

In other news, City may have close to £50m to spend without Yaya leaving.

And then all bets are off.

Will someone lay me 20?

Will someone lay 20...does that mean someone will then have to cover with a further 20?....20/20 a clear vision of the re-shaping of the team/what's going to happen?

Some of those estimated fees seem somewhat optimistic.

For instance, who in their right mind would pay £10m for Rodwell? I think we'd be lucky to receive half of that given his appalling injury record.

Barkley and...... in order of reality:

Griezmann, Di Maria or (wishful thinking James Rodriguez)

Don't you just love the transfer window.

TH, Is Guidetti definitely going? Any chance in him staying if Negredo is off. I don't think he has that something really special to compete at this level (more a top half type player imo) but just wondering if insiders think there's something special there.
