And so it begins...

I'm guessing Yaya's committal rules out Barkley then. For at least a year. Especially with Isco now linked.

So Isco and Barkley?!?!?!?!?!

Just my opinion, but I think City are running out of time this summer for Barkley, especially with Yaya defo staying?

Barkley is the one, but so much needs to fall into place.

As for Isco, I fear it is linked into Aguero, but someone I have spoken to has tried to put my mind at rest, suggesting James and this Jesse kid are the main issues.

£5m loan with a right to buy, er, yes, please.

TH - I've been told, through a friend of a friend (I know!!) that Milner is definitely not leaving. Genuine info but was just wondering if this would affect any possible deal for Barkley in terms of raising the necessary cash.

With the greatest will in the world, Yaya can go fuck himself.

He's tried, via his agent, just within the last 3 months :

- to get an 'jobs for the boys' extension with the club in the form of a guarantee of a coaching spot

- to blame the club for not caring about him due to him just getting borthday wishes and a cake (not sure if he was expecting a blowie from Bernard Halford)

- to blame the club for not permitting him to be with his dying brother (Kolo wasn't either, and I don't see the same reaction there)

- to blame the world for not caring that the Ivory Coast got eliminated from the WC

- to blame colour / continent for him not being considered for POTY honours

He's a good player, but his agent is a gobshite, and the sort of person that we'd hoped to get rid of when we eliminated all of the Will McKay & Mino Raiola players from our side (since when, incidentally, team harmony has definitely increased).

The source of so much good at City (and so many memories), but he's 31, not particularly great in Europe, and if we could get £25m+ for him it'd be great business.
be curious to know what the conversation was like with the club this past week. based on his comments today it sounds like it was a way 1 conversation

I have previously mentioned in the thread, we have offered him a new deal and he was asked to go away and think about it.

I see no good from losing a quality HG, as long as he signs up.

City had no intention of selling Yaya (I think that has been half the problem for him!)

How it impacts Barkley, I don't know. The original info still stands, Txiki is mad for the boy and wants it done.

Goal is also reporting this! But say Liverpool, unlike City, would be willing to buy him on a permanent deal. But the Pellegrini factor might count for something...
