Leslie, for taking off Elano and bringing on GFF!! We need one goal with 10 min's to go and he bring's on a player that rarely passes the ball forward! i know Elano had ran himself into the ground and probably had nowt left in the tank but bringing on GFF instead of ANYONE else seem's ridiculous. Can anyone explain this to me as i'm still baffled by it.

Depends how you want to read it. Elano did go off and GFF did come on. The poster doesn't specify who actually replaced who.

What about the worst non-substitution ever? Last night why didn't Petrov come on with 5 or 10 minutes to go just as a last throw of the dice? We had a sub left and the game was petering out after Dunne got sent off, why didn't he throw the dice one last time? Hamburg had gone at the back, they were there for the taking and Hughes sat back and did nothing with his subs.

I said at half time if we get it back to 2-1 we should sub Dunne as he was a sending off waiting to happen.
As for the players being knackered well it should have been a triple substitution as soon as Dunne fucked up. Fresh legs and somethingelse for Hamburg to think about.
Personally I`d have had Caicedo/Zab/Richards off. On would have come Sturridge/Petrov and Logan, and then just gone for it. If Hamburg scored another so what.
