Keeping players is simple.

- Pick the right players
- Pay them the going rate.
- Compete for (and win) trophies.
- Make the club a nice environment to be in.

It's not easy, only a couple of clubs have the resources to do it, but it is simple.

I think the club understands this. They obviously tick the middle 2 every season, but they invest a lot in making the club, the CFA and the experience of being at City as nice as it can be and in selecting the right people to bring in.
