Would love to see Jack being a bit more direct like that for City, still seems to be playing within himself a little. Understandable of course, early days as he learns about playing in a new team with a new system. But he definitely has a lot more goals in his locker than he has demonstrated in his career so far

They can play them while we’re playing the pointless friendly. It would only need to be a two leg tie.

The benefit is you can reduce the number of games and increase the standard of the competition. Perhaps even look at the international calendar and give players a bit more rest because there’s a real question over how sustainable the current system is.

The smaller nations would have the same right to qualify as everyone else, just like Sunderland have the same right to play in the Champions League as City. But that doesn’t mean everyone with that right has to play everyone else with the same right.

This game has finished 5-0 and both teams are probably equally satisfied with the result. It is a waste of time.
