I have never described him as hard left, he is hard nothing except himself but is supported by 'Rayner and the hard left' - capiche? That has absolutely nothing to do with him being hard left or not.

Who has? Burnham?played Starmer like a fiddle
The reality is that the left of Labour have tried to over-throw the right, and given no fucks to how the electorate would accept this. Would Burnham have got Labour into government, I’m not sure as he squared himself away for the mayoral role.
This is what interests me about Labour politics, when will they implode and give the right their vote. And we all know now that they’re prepared to give them their vote rather than looking after themselves and their ‘so called’ comrades.
This is why it’s hard to vote for Labour, you know that the RW media will pull every trick to bring them down, and their voters will just fall apart when they’re offered the absolute minimum.
Nothing’s changed, people need to enjoy their misery.
and therein lies the problem for us Labour voters, a choice of completely unprincipled leaders. Starmer is exactly the same, he hitched himself to Corbyn to get to the top. Only hope is Streeting now or Farage's evil mob will take over the country.... Burnham is no different. He'll cause Labour a real headache and it will lead to fighting within the party which gives them no chance in the next election but probably leads to Burnham being leader which is all he really cares about.
And withdrawing GM support for the railway he just persuaded Starmer to fund!Burnham under the cosh - banged to rights by callers on the GMR phone currently being carried by BBC News - despite the sycophantic rag Sweeney trying to shut them up. Accused repeatedly of putting himself above the party and lying through his teeth by saying an immediate GM mayoral election wouldn't be a gift for Reform - Farage mob 4 years in control of our multi-million regional spending the price of his hard left backed leadership challenge. Blister.
Hard Left hahahahahahaMany Labour voters in Manchester loathe Andy Burnham along with his PR team of Rayner and the hard left.
with comprehension skills like that I can see why you left Labour.Hard Left hahahahahaha
You should be on stage you fucking halfwit.

Politicians have to represent the views and opinions of the electorate, many of which will be of little or no interest to them, so the ability to argue such matters naturally makes them insincere.Burnham comes across as an insincere opportunist.
I would counter that people who are sincere and not merely slippery opportunists are more likely to make improvements as they actually care about the job they are doing and the people they represent as opposed to using each role as a stepping stone.Politicians have to represent the views and opinions of the electorate, many of which will be of little or no interest to them, so the ability to argue such matters naturally makes them insincere.
The question is not which candidate is sincere it is which one has the best opportunity and skills to make improvements. It’s a dirty game, politics. Insincerity and opportunism are NOT terrible traits to possess.
And we are paying for it.Andy Burnham will be at MIPIM in Cannes this week starting tomorrow, pressing flesh, quaffing Champers, eating canapés, and telling everyone what an amazing job he has done with the buses and Metrolink, while Gtr Manchester continues to ground to a halt.

Greater ManchesterThere seems to be increased chatter about Burnham returning to mainstream politics and potentially a leadership challenge and ultimately PM. I don't live in Greater Manchester. For those that do, what do you think of him and what has he achieved for the city?
