Andy Carroll / Girondins Bordeaux

If I remember right he said it actually costs him money to play there. Fair play, as you say he won't be short but in that interview he enjoyed being able to walk about and nobody knowing him
To be fair, he used to play in games in front of thousands of people and no one knew he was there.

Fair fucks to him and his career. He’s enjoying his remaining days of it.

What will always be funny though is Liverpool spending all that money on him.

Funny story on Undr The Cosh about him and James Collins when at West Ham.

He had the talent and physicality to go right to the top.

He was a piss pot and got loads of injuries as a result.

He's scored 4 goals in two games.

The lad just wants to play which is great.

Resident Bordeaux supporter here :) can't wait to see the big man in the flesh when i go over in the new year.

He played for Newcastle youth team in a FA Youth Cup semi final at the Ethiad against City - about 15+ years ago ?
Obviously a big lad, but very skillful and a real handfull.
City drew the game, but won the tie. Think Liverpool beat City in the Final ?
He was impressive and looked destined to make it.
Shame he got injured so often, but didn't he have issues at Newcastle, off the pitch when he got into the first team ?
