Andy Carroll - Would you?

Carroll is a good player, but i'm not sure he'd do well at City. We try to play a possession game, with the ball on the floor and generally at a slow tempo. I don't see Carroll thriving in such a team. I feel the same about Dzeko, who also looks a top striker, but he wouldn't look so good in our team in my opinion. I think we need a pacy striker with good movement, basically a 100% fit and focused Fernando Torres. If not him personally, then someone in his mould.

Good points in there mate but lets be honest how many times do we moan that our wingers are crossing it in too 5ft strikers and then the defenders are heading it away with ease?

I think Carroll will hit 20 prem goals this year (injury free)

And i reckon he could get 30+ in all comps in our side.
 
Nope, let him do his stuff at Newcaste so he can get in the England team.

If he came here he'll be the next Roque Santa Cruz.
 
Paper talk claimed Chelsea saw him as the natural replacement for Didier Drogba! I think Carroll is a good Striker and someone who will be proud to play for England - but he's got some developing to do if he becomes a Striker in Drogba's mould.

Would I have Carroll at City? No. I'd let someone else take the risk on him. At the moment, he's not right for our ambitions.
