Andy Carroll

I think he's worth about that, the higher end of what he's worth. I think he's a great player, look at him at the end of last Season and into the Euros. He's been decent this season but I think it's an excellent piece of business from West Ham.

If Liverpool hadn't paid 35m for him would he have this stigma attached to him? Doubt it.

Good player, really suits big Sams tactics as well.
He does, but so does any big lump that can head a ball. And most of them don't cost £15m. Liverpool must be pleased that they got a sizeable chunk of their money back.

On current market values it's a little on the low side for me, most certainly with the increased TV money that avoiding relegation entails.

Underrated by many, he can impose his physicality on defences to a match winning extent at least ten times a season imo. His size and lack of technique means he will never be anything more than an effective, blunt instrument, but for any club with aspirations that do not extend much beyond survival in the Premier League he is perfect man to lead the line.

He was immense against City at Anfield in that game before the united Semi-Final. That is what he is capable of, even if it is all too infrequent for him to ever be a top striker.

Well, for yozzer's benefit; their. And for Corky's benefit; Uppercase letter to start a sentence, and a full stop at the end of a sentence.

And no; I'm not sure if that comma in the middle of my last sentence is correct or not.
