I never hear him as biased or anti-City. He just says some silly things at times, usually about the tactics or how the game is panning out. You'd expect better from someone who's played at the top level.

You can't slate the guy for earning good money in the media, we'd all jump at the chance.

He is one of an annoying breed of commentators who spend most the time telling everybody what should have just happened. He jumps upon any negative aspect of any passage of play and talks as though, had he been on the pitch, it would have been different. He rarely sounds enthused about the football he is watching and when he commentates on us and we are brilliant he makes it sound as though its nothing out of the ordinary at all. Boring, negative fucker. Cant stand his commentaries.

I watched it on Star Sports today. I think they’re an Indian TV company.

Terry Phelan is in another Indian channel called Sony Sports Ten. He’s proper funny!

He did the FA Cup semi the other week when the Wolves striker scored and put that mask on, after the game it showed that clip and Phelan said “look at the state of that bloke. Never mind the mask he’s just got egg on his face now hasn’t he?!”
