In the week that the great Pele died Madley was an absolute disgrace to the notion of the beautiful game

I think I saw one of the most inept three minutes of refereeing I’ve ever seen outside the Champions League yesterday when Onana went down injured on the edge of his own box…

Madley stopped the game for no reason - it wasn’t a head injury, he wasn’t even injured for fuck’s sake! He waved on the Everton physios and while he was fannying about stood by Onana and his fake injury, Everton wanted to make a sub for a different player.

Madley just stood there looking at Onana while he could have got the Everton sub sorted out.

Onana got up and while he was walking off, still not off the pitch, Madley finally let Everton make the substitution then turned round to speak to Pickford who ran off and started fake geeing up each of his Everton teammates by running up to them and shouting some unintelligible Mackem ADHD bollocks… meanwhile the Everton player being substituted was refusing to leave the pitch and Madley was still stood with the ball in his hands where Onana had been down ‘injured’ doing absolutely fuck all about any of this going on in front of him.

After the little **** had finally got off the pitch and the sub came on, another Everton player went back to get the drop-ball from Madley but Pickford started screaming that he wanted the drop-ball so the ref picked the ball up again to do that for him.

Meanwhile Onana ran back on the pitch without being waved back on by Madley.

All of Onana, Pickford and the kid they substituted and Lampard should have been booked for that shit.

That referee should be demoted for a month just for that incident alone.

11 minutes added on was a fucking disgrace. For me, it should have been about 15 minutes!

Nailed it, I’m going mental in 109 and loads of plastics and day trippers are looking at me in disgrace. Last season for me this after 47 years. Can’t deny it. I don’t enjoy it anymore. Sanitised as fuck.

About three times supposedly injured Everton players got on field treatment then had to go off the pitch, as soon as the ball was back in play Madley waved them straight back on. Players shouldn’t be allowed back on the pitch for 5 minutes if they’ve had treatment which wasn’t from a foul, soon stop them.

I noticed today the ref at the Spuds game booked a player on 70 minutes for time wasting, usually takes them 89 minutes at the Etihad.

They piped up for a bit after they scored, a terrible away support that did nothing to create an atmosphere - not sure where you got they out sang us throughout from,

He was on the match day thread saying the atmosphere was awful, not sure how he knew given he wasn’t there.

I love our fans, we are some of the quietest in the league though. Our hardcore is ageing, and the under 25s love a sing song on the concourse for Snapchat, then don't bring the same noise into the stands.

Why didn't we win in normal time instead of waiting for injury time?

because there was only about 20 minute football played in the2nd half . and for those 20 minutes it was stop start stop start.

It annoys me when people seem to think that you can’t criticize the referee without them thinking you’re blaming them for the result.

We lost because we weren’t good enough.

But Madleys performance was fucking shocking and it would have been if we won, drew or lost. He lost control and had no intention of reeling them in, writing on the wall for their game plan the second they raked haaland. In my opinion we were lucky to not get an injury.

And I’m also tired of the fact we pay so much money and have to watch teams playing like Everton did, and it annoys me that the refs watch it and let it go when they have the power and a duty to stop it.

You don't think the players underperformed because of Madley's 'lack of control'? Everton got away with shit loads and it 100% got to the players.
