Andy Madley performance

Why didn't we win in normal time instead of waiting for injury time?

The lads dropped their intensity. Didn't help with that refereeing calamity, over 10 mins the players were stood about which loses all the momentum. Felt large parts of our support were passive as well today, outsung throughout by 3k Scousers is pretty embarrassing. I welcome the usual "fuck off" brigade, I'm used to it.

Shocking today, it's been like this all season, when do you ever see the officials gives us the home advantage in corners or throw-ins or fouls, Liverpool, united, don't even have to demand it, it's a given they are handed it on a plate, For a team of so much quality that demands respect because we play the game in the right way, it's simple a tool the officials use to level the game, the officials should not be involved in how the game pans out or how teams play.

his job is to be fair to both clubs and call it how it's played out, BUT clearly under orders from higher up to put the spanner in the gear box and stop us from playing our normal game,

just watch this clip on how teams kick us and get in our faces ? right under the nose of the referee, just watch willy Gnonto trot 60 yards across the pitch to kick the ball away and get in the face of Grealish,

I have to admit, I haven't enjoyed our play as much this season apart from the big man making goalscoring look ridiculously easy. I think there is too much passing with no real intent, especially as a lot of it is passed around the back, very safe, not zipped with a purpose. We then decide to ping a ball out wide, wide man controls it and passes it back and round and round it goes. Our play needs someone to drop the shoulder, flick the ball round the corner, someone taking on their man with purpose etc. It just feels too safe, keep possession at all times. We also end up with Ake and Stones in advanced positions with the ball, but the opposition are happy they have it there as usually there's no threat. I don't think Pep has got his tactics right since Haaland has arrived. I hope he does soon though, as we could be out of the league if we lose a few matches over the next few weeks. I do trust Pep, but like some of you, get frustrated with his lack of change in matches like today's.

Disgraceful referee. Allowed the game to be disrupted over and over again. Weak and not fit for the multi million pound industry that we play in. Only time he didn’t play advantage was the last moments of added on time. I’m so sick of city attacking at speed and getting fouled, only to see the referee wave play on because we have a supposed advantage. No yellows shown, means the opposition have free reign to do it over and over again. Fuming but confident we can demolish Chelsea away.

The referee was shocking but what was more shocking was Pep expecting Ake & Stones to create the winning chance.
