Murray is the most perfect physical specimen in sports today.

Saw him at the O2 back in November, a beast.
Google LeBron James.

Do me a favour. Murray was a lanky streak of piss for so long.

LeBron don't run for hours on end, every couple of days, then fly around the world.

He also don't have an off-season that lasts one month.
Not sure what Murray being skinny in the past has to do with anything.

The only physical attribute Murray has over him is endurance, so for me he's nowhere near the same freak of nature that LeBron James is. If that was the case then marathon runners are the best physical specimens on the planet.

LeBron is faster, stronger, more explosive, can jump higher and the guy is about 6ft 8 of pure muscle ffs. He has the physical attributes of a decathlete, only inside the body of a giant.

He also plays virtually every night of the year for about a 7 month period and he'll be flying round America every couple of days so he's probably in the air more often than Murray as well.

Aye, despite it going 5 sets he looked comfortable for the majority of the match. He'll have to play better and be more ruthless in the final. Djokovic won't give him as much as Federer did today.

I think Djokovic will win in 4.

I think Murray/Djokovic is slowly becoming the box office final in majors. They guarantee a classic whenever they play, especially in the 5 set format because both are in the sort of shape where you know they can maintain their level for 5 hours without dipping.

The final is really tough to call, Djokovic is a monster at the Aussie open though so I think he has the slight edge.

That's my point, entirely. James was born with those attributes.

Murray in the space of four years has put on 15kg of muscle, on a frame that was bordering on skinny.

He can run 400 metres in 50 seconds and also trains four four hours a day when he is not playing.

As for the travel aspect, Murray air miles in comparison to James, again, we're talking long-haul for half the season.

The average tennis players is said to run more than 20 miles a match.

They don't have quarters, time-outs, subs, on any of that other crap. To say James can outjump Murray, I would hope he could, being 6ft fucking 8.

I used enjoy watching basketball in the days of Pippen, Jordan, Iverson etc.

Then when you actually analyse it, there's nothing too special about a guy standing near 7ft who can slam dunk a ball just above his head, in terms of the physical demands.
