I think many, many people on here are missing the point!
How does a journalist get noticed? How does a journalist get a better job (better than working for the MUEN)? How is a girl to make it in the big bad world of macho men?
Easy Peasy.

Not really.
She is now in her forties and has been vying desperately for attention for a number of years now since she left University.
Bit late for the silly woman if she is trying what you are suggesting - it hasn't worked for her yet, has it?

Surely a journalist would try and better her career by doing a decent report on actual news. Not spouting off tripe in a column. I could be controversial in voicing an opinion. she's obviously a poor reporter.
