I have faith in the kid to make it with us, though with his skill set and the rumours of pep playing 3 at the back I'd not be overly surprised to see him becoming a wide midfielder.
 
I think LWB could be the perfect position for him. If we do play 3 at the back I would not mind one bit seeing he and Bruno Peres* as our wingbacks. That being said, I imagine Clichy will be first choice unless an even better LB is brought in, which would probably result in a loan for Angelino.

I personally don't see the problem with Angelino as a third choice for along the left flank getting time here and there whilst learning peps system and being an understudy. Whilst being second choice means more games it also means your one injury away from being put into a situation that can't be controlled, and a bad run of games can be horrific for a youngster, fans aren't nice or understanding when the teams loosing against high expectations, getting that without having time under your belt can be really counterproductive. 3rd choice means we have more control over his development whilst we transition Clichy out the club, then next year he becomes 2nd choice etc etc.
 
Im still at work so seen nothing of the game but it seems,going off the comments here and various tweets........ he has staked a claim for the first team?
Im very happy to be proven wrong if thats the case as i really didnt think he had the quality,made up for the kid,and us!
 
First time watching him.

Had a great game, really stood out and gave one of the best performances on the field.
 
Really good game for him yesterday, showed that he can play in different positions as well and very comfortable on the ball.
 
I hope Ian Cheeseman goes and personally apologises to the lad after his performance yesterday.

Had a right pop at him while he was on loan at NYC and tweeted "I dont think Angelino will ever be good enough for City". Angelino wasnt too impressed.

Fair play to this lad, he's done everything the club has asked of him. Going to NY on loan, rotting in the reserves when he returned. He's earned his chance and last night looked like he's more than up for taking it.

That's not having a pop, that's having an opinion.
 
Our man of the match in my opinion (Sorry Willy). Played two positions over the course of the game and did a very good job at both of them. Not yet the finished article but closer than the vast majority of teenage footballers I've ever seen. Scores goals too, and think I'm right in saying he has a pretty decent fee kick- maybe the natural successor to Kolarov?

Agreed and a performance which shows he is not intimidated playing with and against experienced senior players. A real bonus for him and City; win win!

He played 3 positions
 
I think its almost certain he'll get a chance - this isn't to say he'll become a regular, or even get many but god it feels good to think he's actually got a chance
