Angelino

If he does go to Spain though it will be because City have decided he isn't quite good enough which was the case with Suarez

No I get that and I know they see them on the training ground week in week out and are in a much better position to pass judgement than fans but sometimes it takes 1st team games to see their real ability. From a few games i've seen this year; Suarez has played pretty decent and thats for Villarreal who are currently 10 points clear of 5th in Spain. Only have to look at Pogba to realise the mistakes you can make not giving youth players the chance to play.

So? Denayer is an international fullback. He's played in the champions league.

And if the other two came into the squad, an away game against one of those teams isn't going to be their first game is it?

You're acting like we'd throw them into that game _now_, when actually they'd have loads of playing time for the first team at that point.

And that would be a worst case scenario anyway.
It would be nice to think that there may be 4 or 5 playing in games like that in 2 or 3 years time?

I rate Angelino very highly, believe he can be very good given the chance and the right coaching, reminds me of Alba. Think he can learn alot of Clichy as they are quite similar in alot of aspects. The way clichy intercepts the ball is something Angelino can take off him. Angelino however can attack so much better and his crossing ability is incomparable. Plus he has the pace to recover defensively as well.

I love that idea but if we had injuries you could end up with Maffeo, Denayer and Angelino all playing in a Champions League tie against Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich away which is just too much at once. It's just about getting the balance right and allowing young players to develop, at their own pace.

A month ago everyone were saying we won't be able to cope without buying a new striker and now we currently have Kun in possibly the best form of his life and Kelechi who has out scored £32 million Benteke and £61.5 million Anthony Martial and in a 3rd of the playing time.

There's a huge difference integrating one young player and four, that's all I'm saying. I'm absolutely in favour of them all being in the squad along with Garcia, Roberts and Barker and probably a few others I've failed to mention.

If they're all you've got as backup, which is what the previous poster was suggesting then 3, 4 or 5 injuries and you're suddenly relying on inexperienced kids to win potentially four competitions.

I'm not entirely following you and I have no idea what previous post your relating too

That being said I refered to having 2 young homegrown understudies both of which have been part of the first team training sessions for some time know and hopefully by the end of the season will have experienced first team football and Angelino could have proved his first team credentials by then.

As for Denayer I don't consider him a youth player being promoted as he is already a fully fledged international with both league and Champions league experience so he is more like a new signing or even re signing a player.

If you can't be arsed reading what my post was in response too then there's no point in continuing the discussion is there.

The reason why I said I have know idea what previous comment was because you replied to my post!

To be fair I hadn't realised it was you, my bad. But surely you should know what it was in response to if you wrote the original post I was replying to, haha!! I wouldn't mind I've not even had a drink.

I wouldn't liken him to Clichy, I'd say he's more similar to Kolarov. He's like a far more technically gifted Kolarov IMO.
