If he's not going to get any chances for us in the near future can't we loan him out to a local club, Bolton perhaps? Not sure about their left back situation (Can't be worse than ours can it??) I'm sure Neil Lennon could do with a few quality additions. Really like the look of this kid, oozes confidence.

He's only just made the transition from U18s to the EDS. He's only just starting to learn how to defend at that level.

Hearing strong whispers there's a new face on the @MCFC bench tonight. Very exciting if true. Hopefully confirmed in just under 20 minutes.

Or maybe....??

Great to see him on the bench, even if it's just for emergencies. I always forget he's only 17, phenominal achievement for the Mario Gotze lookalike

Well done to him making our bench at only 17.

I like the look of this kid, really talented and so confident on the ball.

Needs to decide what his name is.

Full name: Jose Angel Esmoris Tasende
On the BBC: Esmoris Tasende
On MCFC.co.uk: Jose Angel Tasende
On here: Angelino

I assume Tasende will be on his shirt and that will be the name we will come to know him as. Maybe need to rename this thread in the anticipation of his full graduation from the EDS.

He was called Angelino on the team sheet for the official city page.

Announced him as Angelino last night and that's what was on the Sunderland big screen.

From the heavens, where we were standing sitting, he looked pretty small when stood next to some of the players. However, with the City team that was on the field, which was pretty small overall, he didn't look too out of place.

However, the way Clichy is currently playing, no-one is going to replace him!

For those who watch the EDS and under 18s more than me, do you think Angelino or Barker could step up to the first team season next season?

Wouldn't trust any of them as fully qualified first team squad players yet, but imo most of them should be getting game time next season if they are to stay here. Otherwise they need to be out on loan.

But if they could stay together at City as a group, continue to develop together & also get the occasional chance in the first team, then we could create something really special imo. I think you would find one or two start to look useful at first team level, & by the end of next season we would be really talking about promoting a bunch of them for the season after. They play very well together. That shouldn't be thrown away.

I would second all that.

Too early for this lad, but the signs look promising. He is very good as a wingback and he could be our very own answer to what Real Madrid had with Roberto Carlos and Barcelona have had with Dani Alves

Too early for him yet, but has all the potential to become one of the best LBs in the country.

I'd love to see Angelino and Barker go on loan to the Championship next season, both to the same club. They play so well together down the left, it shouldn't be broken up, it should be given the time to blossom even further.
