Angelino

Also, as we know, CL also has that rule for u20s who aren't HG in any form, but who have been with the club for 2 seasons and then don't have to be registered, which applied to Jesus recently as many know.

The cutoff date for the 2019/20 season is 1 January 1998. Everyone born before, including Angeliño (born 4 January 1997), needs to be registered as part of the 25-man squad. Since he spent more than 36 months with City before the age of 21, he will be considered a club-trained homegrown player.

It's not rocket science, lads.

Just curious do you have a source for this? I've been trying to find one that is legit.

Just out of a matter of interest, has angelino ever played with rodri before? 6 months in the difference in age so could be possible they played together underage Spain?

Official Premier League and UEFA websites. I have never heard or read anything about players u23 or u20. It has always been u21.

Since the cutoff date is 1 January, it is possible for players aged 22 to be added to the B-list after the CL group stages, but only if they are born between 1 January and 1 February (the deadline for squad changes).

Maybe in less official matches when they were younger, but Rodri basically broke into the senior team when Angelino started getting looks for their u21 side.

RB Leipzig looking to take him on loan

Hardly a shock given his game time. He's not going to be happy with his situation given he's just come off the back of playing every game for PSV and ending up in the team of the season.

I still think he's good enough to be a back up with us if given a consistent run in this team, but I don't think that will happen.

Pep thinks German football is amazing and is supposed to be a massive Nagelsman fan so if he plays it should be good for his future City career.

Good chance of him picking up a Bundesliga winners medal as well.
