Angelino

I suspect we'll sell him on unless he would be wing back and we're going 3 at the back (would possibly fit in with our rumoured interest in Cancelo as well). I seem to remember Guardiola saying we needed more height and Angelino is very small, so can't see it being to play LB in a 4. I guess he could be used further forward though if Sane is leaving

We already have the aerial problem, with Zinchenko. Teams hit long diagonals & unless it's straight at his head or he is up against a dwarf, he misses it. He wins nothing difficult at corners & often runs toward the ball, under it, when he should be letting the opponent have it & then blocking him off.

Angelino is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike at actually 'winning' headers, but he's far better on the ball. So it's a gamble worth taking imo, especially if we are getting Rodri, who gives us more height to balance it.

Three things stand out from that video:-

1. He's still got a cracking cross from the left.
2. He's still a tough little terrier of a tackler.
3. His team mates seem to be universally crap at converting chances.

Would love him to come back, always reminded me of Zabaleta.

As Ajax Ajax I followed him last year in the Dutch league. He's a great player, he's got a crazy crosses , a young man with huge potential and no less important - HG. Sound like an excellent deal, the question is what we will do with 3 LB. Zin is in negotiations to extend the contract and no onewill take Mendi

Angelino & Zinchenko could play other positions than left back imo. They are good footballers.

We could always go 3 at the back too in certain games, especially if we end up with Cancelo as well. Mendy, Cancelo and Angelino would be more suited to being wing backs IMO and it would allow us to play 3 CBs to give us the extra height.

Used to enjoy watching this kid in the EDS teams, I really hope this comes off. If Pep is instigating the move as reported I can't see it being for a quick resale, that would be more Txiki's domain.

Great news if this is true, I always thought Angelino was great in Pep's first pre-season tour, he was quick good at crossing and tackled like NDJ. Great to use as backup to Mendy as he is still first choice - god know show bearing in mind he hasn't been fit much. Zinchenko is just a utility player but Pep prefers him to Delph, don't be surprised to see Zinny filling in for Fernandinho if we don't get a replacement.
