Just very annoyed with the screaming sound from this ad. Anyone experienced this?

Nope, I use adblock plus in my browser and 'unfortunately' don't get to see any ads. ;-)

That's very nice of you, I'm sure Ric's bank account heavily appreciates your stance. If everybody did what you did, the site would shutdown because of bandwidth costs. The ads aren't there to make money, they are there to keep the site up and Ric's family off of the breadline.

Seriously, what does it hurt you if there is an ad at the top, which you ignore anyway? As somebody who is trying to make a living from site ad revenue (not BM, a different site), I get fucked off when people block them for no reasons.

I'll do you all a deal: unblock Bluemoon ads, and if you EVER catch a virus of spyware from them, I will personally travel to your house and wipe the viruses/spyware off of your computer for free.

Will you run the hoover round too, the place could do with a bit of a once over ? ;-)

If you get a (confirmable) virus from BM ads, I'll buy you a new carpet.

Sorry, these people frustrate me. Do they have any idea how much work it takes to build and maintain a site? I work on sites around 50 hours a week, and that's on top of my paying job. I'll spend 15 hours here, 15 on FA Watch and the other 20 on my other project. But according to these people, not only must I be working an extra 50 hours for THEIR enjoyment, but I must also be bankrupting myself in the process, because they don't want to ignore an advert.

Right, rant over. Normal service is resumed.

How does it work do you get paid everytime it's on someones screen? or everytime someone clicks on an ad?

Both. You get more if somebody clicks on the advert, but you get a small amount just for it been looked at. And the actual money you get for them is depressingly small.

So lets say i click on them a few times everytime i visit bluemoon, would it help? Or does it do it by IP so you can only click once?

You can click as many times as you want, but I stress that you should only click on ads where you are interested in the product. Otherwise you are robbing the ad companies, and they monitor for this type of thing. Just viewing them is enough, though I make a habit of clicking on ads if the product looks interesting.
