Just read a BBC link regarding the penalties UEFA are thinking of imposing on teams failing FFP. Interesting bit at the end of the article:

But City's Etihad deal has attracted considerable comment from some of the club's Premier League rivals, particularly Arsenal and Liverpool, both of whom are fellow ECA members.

Rummenigge, however, refused to be drawn on the issue in Geneva on Tuesday, saying only that links between the clubs were healthy following the sale of Jerome Boateng to the German team this summer and "it was not up to us" to decide on the fairness of any other club's commercial deals.

Bayern host City at their Allianz Arena on 27 September.

So Karl Heinz gets his own way with Boateng and the toys are back in the pram. I hope we stuff his team 10-0, the fucking hypocrite.

Of the five most expensive transfers in the Bundesliga this summer, three of them were made by Bayern including #1 and #2! Rummenigge is a hypocrite on the Wenger level.

Neuer + Boateng + Rafinha cost them €40m and they also signed other players like Nils Petersen and Dale Jennings. Highest spenders in Germany by far and one of the biggest in Europe I believe.

The rags of Germany, an arrogant club who aren't happy unless they are all-conquering.

Symptomatic of the German psyche I believe.

You do know it isn't 1948 don't you?

Disagree profoundly with this thinly veiled racist comment.

I've got a lot of time for Germans. They're sound as far as I'm concerned.

Mein Gott! Lighten up pal, it was a joke. Anyway, they started it............

Apologies; it was meant firmly tongue in cheek. I'm genuinely having a mare on here tonight. More backfires than that Nissan 120Y I had.

Why, are they all the same?

I'm sorry too, pal.

Looking back at my reply I look like a right drama queen.

-- Wed Sep 07, 2011 10:52 pm --

No, that's why I like them.

Now that's sorted, what about the bloody French?

In all seriousness though, and I know we'll be fine with this FFP lark, but it seems more and more about us being a success rather than addressing genuine problems in football. Particularly telling was Martin Samuel's opening paragraph about us, where he described the 'murmur' around the room when our name was read out at the Champions League draw.

Can't stand the fucking French ;-)

I remember thinking that I could hear a groan when our name was announced at the time but just put it down to paranoia, or excitement at the thought that we could be about to draw Otelul Galati

I guess it's hard not to be protective of the club considering what we've all been through together. But I'd rather have this problem of no one liking us, than being everyone's favourite joke. UEFA need to accept we are debt free, well run (as long as we're not sending emails!) and are building something astonishing as a legacy for Manchester as well as a successful football club. What's not to like?

Bayern have been profitable for about 20 years straight. I don't see what's hypocritical about them spending money. They have an enormous commercial income - the biggest in world football.

These clubs are annoyed because we have gate crashed the party without having that income. I have no problem with it, didn't even have one with Chelsea. But it isn't hypocritical on their part.

Bayern attempted to bully us into selling Jerome to them. Rummenigge, I thought, behaved appallingly after he ran off bleating to the press about us. Then he called into question our sponsorship deal with Etihad, which to be fair is more than just a sponsorship deal, yet Bayern's sponsorship deals could just as easily be questioned.

That's why I feel the way I do about them. Maybe hypocritical was the wrong word. A better choice of words may be bitter, jealous tossers.

Bayern are the Bundesliga's equivalent of the rags, when looking at their earning power. However the Bundesliga has the perfect balance so that clubs can compete against that financial muscle.

The current champions, Borussia Dortmund, were a financial basket case a few seasons ago.

This earning power argument irks me.

Is it more acceptable for the rags to garner income from selling shirts to daft south east asian kids thanks to a huge corporate marketing operation than for our income to come from one wealthy man.

Sorry you have got it wrong. All their players are home grown and play for free. They have a vast history and are unbeatable.
Look here www.bayernzone.com they are worse than rags

Agreed, I've never quite got this - our marketing dept. is better than yours therefore we are entitled to win more trophies than you.

It's not exactly the Corinthian spirit they claim to espouse is it?

Don,t give a fuck what Dippers think about us,given that their main sponsership deal is from a company owned by their american chairman....both karl heinz moaner and the bin dippers are hypocrites....now find me a national newspaper brave enough to print the truth!!

Commercial income in Germany is comparable much higher, as pay-tv is not that big thing like in England and therefore the sponsors have a much bigger audience in free-tv.
