Government cannot make a referendum binding .... only Parliament can do that ... and it wasn't made into law. That is a completely untrue. The electorate were told before, as and after they voted that the referendum was binding and their verdict would be honoured by their representatives, your constant repetition of the opposite (along with others) is trivial and tedious.

I voted remain and wanted to stay in but I don't blame leave voters

That's not the point I am making really, what they are doing is murdering the democratic process of this country and they don't seem to care. I voted to remain, that isn't going to happen and if there is a soft Brexit the shit will hit the fan in this country. Maybe that's what's needed in the end it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
At least if they want to stop Brexit and kill it they should admit it so that voters can vote them out in the next election instead of saying that they are going to respect the result of the referendum, they haven't even got the guts to be honest.
