Another new Brexit thread

You appear to be assuming - arrogantly in my opinion - that every person who didn't vote conservative wanted to remain.

Untrue.

I, and millions like me, voted labour at the last GE. If they had won they may have offered a second referendum. And guess what? I and those millions like me would have voted leave again.

I voted labour by holding my nose and remembering that they weren't quite Tories (although a bit too close for my liking). The labour party of today is nothing close to the labour party my father voted for all his life. The labour party of Tony Benn, Peter Shore and others - you know, those right wing racist types that wanted out of the EU. Nowadays it is a sixth form-esque virtue signalling, privilege-ridden anti-working class london-centric cabal of hypocrites.

I hear it's quite popular with remain types.

On the same basis do you think everyone who voted Tory wanted to leave?
By election time last year significant proportion of the population had Brexit fatigue and wanted it over with one way or another. Johnson was promising that (albeit without mentioning the shit show that tying ourselves to a one year transition with our red lines was guaranteed to bring). A lot of remainers had convinced themselves that Brexit would be tolerable and would rather we went ahead than apparently drag it on for more time. Ironically, by installing Johnson and his Brexit ultras, it means we’ll be dealing with the fallout for years.

Laughable that a deal comes with rules to keep the deal, right. And do you think any deal with other countries will come without rules and conditions too. So no deal with anyone it is, in your fantasy world of trade deals without rules.

The actual irony is that the remain parliamentarians and speaker of the house were too busy patting each other on the backs for a job well done last year to realise they were handing power to BJ. A man who had previously been seen as a sort of rw cartoon character even by the conservatives. Remainers effectively went double or quits on brexit by blocking Mays attempts to find a compromise thinking they could scupper it all, achieve a hung parliament with a narrow remain majority to carry the balance of power and revoke. They had been listening only to their own voices for too long and it bit them on the arse - no point crying now.

I have been keeping off the thread recently - mainly due to a view that there are so many stalkers/wasters that offer nothing to the topic that I do not want to waste my time.

And - to be fair - I have for some time considered you to be the prime example of that - afterall (from my POV) most of your posts are nothing more than snide one-liners - mainly aimed at me.

But, being an objective and open sort of guy - and I certainly do not want to do you a disservice - can you please quote for me the last (let's say 10) posts where you have demonstrated any contribution beyond simply being snide.

I would not want to have missed such a contribution and therefore perhaps guilty of being potentially unfair in my assessment of your character
