What is this evidence that we should have looked for?

Facebook and Youtube to name 2 gave evidence to a parliamentary committee in 2018 and found no evidence to suggest Russian interference in the brexit vote.

No-one knows the extent of Russian involvement in the Brexit referendum because it wasn't investigated.

But - you are missing the big point.....................

One of these things - the overt support of Obama and all the rest for Remain and their attempts to influence the UK populace actually happened

The other - the influence of Russia in support of Leave - appears not to have actually happened and in fact was only ever an attempted smearing of the democratic choice of the UK electorate - simply because Remainers were/are unable to accept the democratic outcome.

Sorry I’m confused now, are we watching and reading a different report?

A damning report showing government inaction in countering a well known threat to democracy from Russia and also showing government inaction in even investigating it after the event has been released, and the Brexiteers are using it as full vindication that the election wasn't externally influenced, and they think it's funny.

They’ve literally said the government has actively avoided looking for evidence, that can’t be translated into there is no evidence, that’s even more of a false narrative than before!

The whole point is we still don’t know and it’s damning that it hasn’t been investigated by subsequent governments.

I doubt very much that the report will say that the Russians did not interfere with the Brexit vote. It may say they have found no evidence.

Not the same thing.

The report will unlikely comment that it found any evidence of Elvis being alive - but for people to use that as some convenience to carry on with their narrative - a narrative for which the only evidence available is that Remainers desperately act to invent such stories to make up for the absence of any facts.

I could easily suggest that the report does not find evidence of Russian interference in support of Remain in 2016 - but that would be me acting as disingenuous as some Remainers.

Nope - and that approach is clearly been evidenced to be a Remainer approach - as this very subject has proven over months of Remainers stating clearly (and it seems falsely) that there was definitely Russian interference.

I was reporting on the leaks from the report overnight - so I was commenting on details - Remainers have been inventing versions of the truth - since disproven

How, exactly could the Russians influence the referendum/election? Facebook? Youtube?
Twitter? If they used Twitter they were spectacularly shit at it, as @blueinsa says all you
ever see on that cesspit are Brexit topics massively tilted to remain.
So how do they do it, put subliminal groaning up on Russkie porn sites, just how?
The only way is to bribe/threaten/coerce ballot staff, and there's no evidence for that
either.
Basically, it's all been a last chance dance at scrapping a democratic vote, and
a wilful refusal to accept the will of the majority, simple as.
