oooooff

Oh how the EU and Ireland must miss those heady days when they could get together for evenings of fun and think up another jolly thing to impose upon the UK in the knowledge that Robbins and May would meekly accept.

Remember when the inclusion of the unfettered backstop had them celebrating having placed the UK in the role of 'vassal state' - halcyon days indeed

It does seem that the proposals in the new bill address a number of issues that remainers highlighted as a failure in the 'deal' BJ got last year. I suppose many may rather regret May's deal not going through in March 2019 now.

Yep - that is why I pointed out that Corbyn had the ability to accept the softest of soft Brexits

Some Remainers refuse to accept this simple and indisputable truth

There was certainly an opportunity to achieve the softer brexit that many now are crying out for. In fairness May tried her best, but for reasons best known to themselves many MP's of all hues effectively decided to go 'double or quits' and it's probably fair to say their gamble has failed.

Ah, this must be the early morning echo chamber!

It is.

Cant match that cracker of a post from Dave last night though.

I've copied it ready for the next time i get told leave voters are never called racist etc etc etc etc.

not the same caller Dave I heard on the radio yesterday..

Caller Dave: "Boris Johnson is clearly no leader. He thinks he's Winston Churchill. He's more Churchill the dog.

funny how people will revel in his annoyance as opposed to acknowledging the fact he's pretty spot on.
Not at all.
Revelling in annoyance, gloating and sneering is all they’ve got left now it’s become very clear that the whole thing’s an utter shambles.

Lol, after a 10 year stretch in government, 'They' have just been re elected with an 80 seat majority. The young, that it's presumed will win it for Labour, haven't exactly been flocking to the opposition judging by their results.
Still, hope springs eternal and all that.
The culture war is nothing to do with labour v conservative

Are you talking about me?

This is not new. It’s been the case for years now. They don’t care about the implications of Brexit or what it means to anyone else. They don’t feel guilty about the chaos caused or the lives lost and livelihoods ruined. Nobody has given a single advantage to leaving the Eu for years now, mainly because there aren’t any. This isn’t even discussed by anybody any more.

These people just want to Brexit in any way whatsoever and at any cost to everybody else because it’s the trophy in the wider culture war which has afflicted the UK and the US.
Here's a couple of reasons for leaving.
Looking forward to your critique.

The one and only.

Top rant last night. Perfect example of the type of posts that apparently don't exist on here.

Throw in an allegation of racism, a suggestion of homophobia, top it all off with an accusation of nationalism, mix it all together with a bit of good old fashioned ageism, a mention of the US and some culture war and then sit back, smug like as your 18-24 socialist army wades in and routs the enemy, well, at least those that have not croaked it yet.

It's a shit recipe that has been thrown in the oven several times over the last few years and each and every time it flops on you mate.

Its for limited tastes and is not a winner.

Try something different would be my best advice as it might just get a few more liking it and some change.

Briefingsforbritain ?

I get my pro brexit takes from www.GammonsGazzette.co.uk

It will be really boring for some but these two (long) documentaries are a great showing on how the negotiations will be going based upon what's gone on so far.

The EU have always come across as methodical, prepared and competent even despite their own differences. We meanwhile have come across as chaotic, difficult and completely bogged down by lack of policy and internal battling.
