Don’t mind a one night truce but I will never agree that a version of Brexit that fucks up the economy and breaks up the country is a price worth paying to deliver an advisory vote from three years ago.

I dont and never have.

Trouble is to get it back to us not being nice to each other for a second is you have been guilty of not listening and too quick to tell me what i want and are thinking.

Still those days are over and we are now brexit buddies.

If you hadn’t voted for Farage and wouldn’t contemplate voting for him again that would back up your first comment. As you have admitted that you would, then it’s difficult to accept that would never go along with a No Deal Brexit.

So we here are all agreed that Farage's "We could be like Norway" is (and always was) the obvious compromise. Except MB doesn't think it involves contributions to the EU, Farage now doesn't want it (if he ever did want it but perhaps only said it as part of his campaign lies), the ERG will say it betrays what they say people voted for, other Leavers will say it makes us rule takers not rule makers so we might as well Remain. Johnson and Gove were both in the campaign that promised we`d still be in a free trade zone from Iceland to the Russian border (i.e. the EEA), but (though it was the reason Gove gave six months ago for saying No Deal was not an option) there is no way they`d now go for it. So the Bluemoon consensus will be scuppered by the fact that the Tory party will not support it.

Farage was voted for in the Europarl election and im glad I did it as it helped put another spoke in the wheel that is Brussels/Strasbourg.

I actually have a Tory, Alaister Jack despite being in Scotland and will vote for him if he is committed to brexit and the party is committed to brexit if we haven't left and it will be the first time in a domestic election i have not voted Labour.

It needn't be that way but Corbyn who is a leaver hasn't got any real power, is shit and Labour are remain and the less said about the Lib Dems the better.

SNP can suck my fat one!

News from The Current Bun’s Tom Newton Dunn.

‘Boris Johnson facing Cabinet revolt to lower his Brexit demands and cut a compromise deal with the EU. I have spoken to three different Cabinet ministers, who are all preparing to confront PM after Tory conference next week. They will insist he accepts an 11th hour compromise offer instead that they expect EU to make. They will also demand he abandons Dominic Cummings’ “aggressive” strategy to bluff out the EU with the threat of No Deal. One of the Cabinet ministers: “The PM has to take what he can get now. The Cummings plan has clearly failed. We can’t fight battles on so many fronts”.

Another Cabinet minister will propose MV4 if no deal agreed by end of EU Council on October 18: “I will tell Boris to put Theresa’s deal back to the Commons if I have to. The numbers are there for it now, everyone is desperate to end this”.

Amber Rudd preparing to stand as caretaker Prime Minister if Boris Johnson toppled by MPs, No10 believes. But Rudd describes it as “total fiction”.’

11th hour compromise offer will come from Merkel...something, something, German car makers something. Although if the offer isn’t made they are going to try MV4 on May’s deal so not entirely sure why Merkel will make an offer in the first place but there you go.

So much for the do or die dead in a ditch hulk eh?

In the scenario that May's deal was brought back, would the leavers want this to just be passed by parliament, or is this not the deal you want and would they want a second referendum, with remain as an option?

Constantly ;-)

I really do hope it gets sorted and we can move onto a different thread.

nasty words in parliament is the next big thing i hear.

Nah. You’d miss it. We all would. It’s a form of colonic irrigation that cleanses our systems as we vent at each other. It’s pretty much a Public Health Service this thread.

And we all talk a lot of shit so it works on many levels.
