The EU are looking after one of their own members, as is their right. The UK government are the ones trying to rip up existing agreements that were put in place to stop, you know, people killing each other. Out of interest, do you consider the US Congress to be weaponising this issue when Nancy Pelosi said that congress will not agree to any new trade deal with the UK if the GFA is not respected? The only weapon here is you mate.
As I said:

"......as for your childish insults - well they just make you appear probably as clever as you really are."

Your previous post was enough to emphasise this - no need for further proof

Yay! Well done.

And how long do you think negotiating changes to the GFA was going to take.
And just when were the UK government going to mention that possibility to anyone over here.
I think you greatly underestimate the mood over here.
I really do not underestimate the mood - having, quite a lot of years ago, lived and worked in Dublin I feel well attuned.

It is simply a question of priorities.

Number 1 - and this has primacy - is that the UK has decided to Leave the EU

Everything else - including the GFA which was developed against the backdrop of conditions that will no longer exist should the UK ever be actually allowed to Leave the EU - is of secondary importance and must be addressed in a manner that causes least adverse outcomes for all parties - but must not undermine the Number 1 decision.

The problem has been that so many at Westminster - and in society if this board is a reflection - have never accepted the primacy of the decision to Leave the EU

Not after a second referendum with the facts on the table.

The yob-politics Brexiteers, the Tommy Robinson /Kate Hopkins types, will riot for a week and it will be largely over.

In any case, we can just tell them repeatedly "We won you lost" and "suck it up Buttercup" and that should sort it ;-)
What makes you believe the second referendum will see the people more informed?

I just don't have time or interest in playing the silly games that seem to be your recent style - as I say you have become just another WDB or BJ for me

But I will give you an answer - that you will contest - N.I. took part in a UK wide referendum with regard to the membership of the EU.

The outcome of that referendum was clear and the UK parliament committed to implementing the result. If so doing requires changes to existing treaties then so be it - simples.

Yawn.

i will give you a statement - that you might contest - N.I. took part in a national referendum in '98 with regard to the future of NI. One of the outcomes being any changes to the constitution/border must be put back to the people of NI. This was ratified by GB and RoI.

The outcome of that referendum was clear...VERY CLEAR, 72%. and the UK parliament committed to implementing and honouring that result. If so doing requires changes to existing treaties then you had better ask us first - simples

Er no, the UK government agreed that any changes to the constitution of NI had to be approved FIRST, by the people of NI. Thats not to say it wont get approved/agreed and you get your way....but you have to ask first. if you dont mind thatd be lovely. k.thx.bi

But you do remember that Momentum directly sought to remove Watson. Their purpose was the need to consider who will replace Corbyn - especially should Labour lose the upcoming GE.

The compromise is that someone of the 'right attitudes' is going to become 'joint Deputy Leader' - so then that person can be selected and the risk that a more moderate figure such as Watson taking over is removed.

That is sort of half true, a lot of the membership cant stand Watson as he is seen as disloyal and a bit of a ****. It didn't get any traction though and was quashed, showing momentums influence aint all that.

The party has moved leftwards or should I say the membership has moved leftwards and I cant see a so called moderate or Blairite being elected in the foreseeable future as there is simply not the support there or the inclination to return to Blairism.

Ha ha

You came to mind earlier when @Neville Kneville was saying that he got SIX - FFS SIX alerts from me replying to his posts

He needs to adopt you for a week - he will come back to me begging for attention when he realises what having a real stalker is like
Double irony alert.
You've not stopped begging me to repeat my opinion on Scottish independence for the last month and made multiple snide comments about me running from the debate. I've pointed you to where I expressed my view but you ignored that because you appear to want to get into some sort of pointless dialogue where you can demonstrate your lack of intellect. You should realise I'm doing you a favour as any dialogue always ends up with you refusing to answer salient points and degenerates into you repeating the same sound bites, engaging in clear projection once the insults start and showing yourself up to being totally out of your depth.
I've already told you I'm not interested in engaging with someone who can only come up with repetitive puerile bullshit posted in the style of a 10 year old girl.

Well, that's because he/they don't care, mate.

Ireland and the Irish are just pawns in the game.
Very unfair - everyone should care a lot

Just care about the implementation of the referendum result as much/more - which you do not seem to

We’re not all this completely pig ignorant and elitist towards the UK by the way.
