Re-watch the PMs speech on the referendum prior to the 2016 vote note and inwardly digest. because he clearly says it is just to be sure people knew what they were voting for.

Yeah, but....they where intelligent enough to know what he said he didn't really say and that it was actually non binding and if they lost they could cry foul and it would all go away.

Us thick cunts where apparently duped?

No it wasn’t. But those were the only 2 options on the ballot paper. If you want to blame anyone, blame the likes of Cameron for allowing the referendum in the first place.

You can’t blame the public for this, and calling them thick or whatever because they’re not experts on the intricacies of how the EU works is a bit off. Especially as Jeremy Fucking Corbyn has been voting against the EU all his political life and then gets a free pass for conveniently switching to Remain once he became leader of Labour Party, yet those who get only one chance (some twice) to vote in their lifetime get slagged off by the same people who blow smoke up Corbyn’s arse for daring to vote Leave.

Much as I hate to agree with you, for once, this is spot on. I said at the time that this issue was far to complicated for most people to understand. I know some people on here know a great deal about the issues involved and made an educated decision one way or the other but the problem was that for most(?) people this was an issue they didn’t understand and probably didn’t even bother to try and understand. Reversing 40 years of EU was never, ever going to be easy.

Personally, I can’t see any way we can have a ‘leave’ without a backstop(even Boris has one) in which case it looks like we are casting NI adrift no matter what Boris says.

How do any of our NI (or Irish) fans feel about this?

Not required for Parliament to honour its own promises, they just have to ensure the UK leaves the EU.
Nothing binds them to do so. They're sovereign. Their power is absolute. The only time the electorate are sovereign in the UK is on GE day and they lose that the second they vote.

The 1/3rd dont matter. By not voting they essentially say they dont care.

Tough!
Or they didn't know what to vote as one side didn't explain anything and one side lied through it's arse. It's the ones voting on something that they knew nothing about are to blame. Why vote for something so important that you know fuck all about. Just stupid

That's true but it does not make the referendum result any less binding on Parliament. You will have noticed that it turned out there was no illegal activity by Vote Leave but even if there was it is irrelevant to the democratic mandate brought into being. Every MP now accepts this.

Yeah right.

And the Merseyside Police conducted a rigorous investigation into the City bus bricking incident.

I'm deeply worried about the potential for unrest with the unionists up north tbh, Johnson fucked up badly by not selling it to the DUP before it became public and they need to be mollified now, I've said all along you lot can do what you want as long as whatever happens to NI has cross community support.

Must have hit a nerve truth hurts
It's not the truth, Mike, it's bollocks.

Johnson is and never was hard right, nor even a passionate Brexit supporter. Had the dice rolled differently, he'd have been a Remainer. He wants power and to be remembered as being successful, not a legacy of having brought crisis upon our country and trashed the UK economy. Think about it for one moment, why would any egotist want to be kicked out early and be remembered for failure? Makes zero sense.

And moreover, had he really wanted a hard Brexit, all he had to do was buddy up with Farage and it was job done. So no, he wants a deal, but just wants all his weaponry available to be able to get the best deal. That's all there is to it. Sometime the obvious answer, IS the answer.

Your desperation to see the worst, is completely distorting any rational thought.

Just listen to yourself and think about what you are saying.

Its utterly fucking ridiculous.

If you dont vote its your choice and dont cry afterwards and certainly if you have lost dont start trying to count votes for you that wasn't cast.

Ridiculous!

But it can be changed so whilst you and other remainers think you are winning, its temporary.

Its as temporary as next week in all reality.
Yes it can be changed. That's the third option, a GE to change the arithmetic. Btw thinking Brexit is a fucking stupid idea doesn't make me a remainer, I think you need to leave for your sake as well as ours.

Oh i blame cameron alright, the average person in the street with busy lives didn't understand what voting leave would mean, not their fault ,i didn't understand what leave meant so i didn't vote to leave,we were told lies by both sides, now we know what it means i can't accept the view that people are fed up with it so lets vote for a bad deal, people need to take a breath, have the deal explained properly and vote on it
