I don't know your age - but there was no problem working in the majority of countries that make up the EU before we joined the EEC - I worked in Ireland and Holland during that time - so why should there be now?

Many more EU citizens live in the UK than UK citizens live in the EU and I hope many more will be attracted to come here

I do think that you are worrying non-existent bogeymen

Because in the Eu you can sign up to

  • Freedom of movement. (Schengen agreement)
  • Freedom of movement of Labour (the agreement the UK had)
as we are now out of the Eu and all of us are heading for the worst recession in 300 years ... why would the Eu want to give either to a third country when they will be wanting to solve unemployment levels within their own countries .... and many more Eu citizens will be leaving the UK to return home anyway.

How was it stupid?
A vote to leave did not provide an indication what our relationship with our biggest trading partner would look like after we left. It was a vote for a jump in the dark. It was deliberately vague because the leave campaign couldn’t come up with tangible benefits and we’re still waiting to find out what they are 4 years on. So yeah, pretty stupid.

Oh well.

Bollox.
The reason for the divide was having a fucking stupid referendum in the first place.
We were divided before the referendum, our membership of the EU was becoming more and more controversial, that’s literally why we had a referendum. What you really mean is that you had your own way before the referendum and you’ve collectively spat your dummies out because you lost.

I was 9 in 1973.
In '87 i went to Greece to work, and in the following years i lived and worked all over Europe. Nobody checked if i had enough money, could speak the lingo, was in a 'vital' industry, had a sponsor or the £2k needed just to apply
The UK now requires all of this and more before even considering letting people work here.
Why do you think that the new rules we've put in place will not be mirrored by every eu country? And don't say they need us more than etc etc..

Did you take part in the "stupid referendum"?

If not then i dont think you can complain and if you did, it cant have been that stupid and my opinion is only losing it has made it stupid.
No. Somewhere on here pre-referendum you will find a post of mine saying referendums on such complicated matters are, and i quote, ''fucking stupid.''
I did vote in it though as a response to a couple of fuckwits i know who, for the first time ever, told me they were going to vote ''to get the pakis out''.

So it was that stupid you took part?

Thought so.

Why talk politics if you don't vote normally?

Also, get some new friends if they actually said that.

Cue "Are you saying all leavers are thick racists?" bleats.
