The only extension that could happen will be in the form of a temporary treaty with no tariffs or inspections and with no money being paid to the EU (or getting any money back)... and only then if an overarching deal can be agreed that allows the detail to be fleshed out in the following 12 months.

I strongly suspect that thstrike"7 are continuing their No Deal preparations to the point where come the end of the month if this lot go through with the threat to disengage they will just say "bye - good luck" or even if they are better placed than us midnight the 30th June they will announce talks are no longer to take place. Best way to negotiate - turn your oppositions guns back onto them - pre-emptive strike. They can hardly argue the No Deal that the Tories seek is a dastardly EU plot.
