It really is quite straightforward: we’ve elected to leave and need to be man enough to deal with the consequences. I’m not sure what people expected, but if the present situation wasn’t contemplated by some as a realistic possibility then they don’t live in the real world.

Fucking deal with it and stop complaining.
I think many people reasonably expected a good and fair trade deal with the EU which was what they were told they would get. Hardly surprising that not everyone is happy and says so. I think most people have also contemplated what a no deal will be like which is why they don’t believe we should have to suffer the consequences. Unless you are in the minority who voted for this shower of shit and voted to achieve a no deal Brexit then why the fuck shouldn’t you complain?

Gdm is right here.

The consequences of leaving, whether good, bad or a mixture of the two, are shared by all.

There comes a point where complaining to people who are not really interested in your complaints becomes futile.

Not really. If Brexit develops from the current badly managed fiasco into something worse, should people stop complaining because of the result of the 2016 referendum? If anything the case to re-evaluate our decision will be stronger.

The problem with a binary choice on a non-binary issue is that there will always be a big proportion of people unhappy with how it goes from any give side of the debate.

Consequences? You mean people voted for something with consequences?

You're not sure what people expected? Yet you ask the people who warned of the consequences to stop complaining - because those who didn't listen to the warnings don't live in the real world.

Man up? By just carrying on with that sort of incoherent crap?
My post wasn't aimed at that those that voted to remain; the fact that you can't identify that is down to your shortcomings, not mine.

If I was incoherent, I wouldn't eat.

We voted to leave. If the EU don't want to play ball then it's down to us, our actions, and people shouldn't have any complaints. They owe us fuck all.

But then you’re presuming Labour would have done a better job.

Its hard to see them do worse to be honest. Everything has been slow / delayed. Johnsons briefings have been awful the science/politics is muddled and the Cummings issue lost them all credibility on enforcing the lockdown. We have the highest number of excess deaths in the world.

Careful with that axe Eugene, look at the likes you're attracting.

Not sure what the problem is.

With our government’s record on contracting world beating complex IT systems like Track & Trace and Universal Credit, it should be ready on time on cost and simple to use. Just let Baroness Dildo sort it out.

Also worth noting this is the easy bit, its the goods coming in where the serious work is and we have already pushed that back 6 months. If we get this wrong it wrecks our exporters but at least we wont starve.

I thought we’d already said that we weren’t going to impose customs checks on most imports from the EU deal or no deal, leaving us open to other countries exporting whatever they want here without restrictions due to WTO MFN rules if we don’t get a deal.

People can complain all they like.

The reality is we are leaving, have left or whatever,no going back now, unfortunately.
