How fuxking arrogant can you get?

People in power who think the world owes us something after colonising half of it.

Boris is playing to the gammonatti with this move and they will gladly cheer it on because it means freedum!

The sooner the powers that be realise the UK is no longer a great world power and is really the angry midget in a bar looking for a fight to cover up his insecurities the better.

The clear implication being that otherwise the U.K. will impede land trade passing through the U.K. to and from Ireland - great way to forge a new relationship that, blackmail.

I’m guessing this weekend the usual papers will start blaming civil servants for everything rather than the government.

The Irish seem to have thought of that.

And get rid of the immigrunts......
It isn't about that though is it? Nothing really changes in that respect unless somehow you believe Farage will be standing on the white cliffs of dover using his clay pigeon shooting kit to put holes in dinghys or we are going to have mass repatriations. Obviously we elected a corrupt and duplicitous tory govt, but Soviet Russia / 1930's Germany it is not. We desperately need immigration due to our ageing population, and frankly because even the worst of the rich torys need cheap labour.

We gave up being a world power on 31 January 2020.
We are now a regional power with declining influence around the world.
Looks like the Eu members haven't been navel gazing for the last four years ... unlike the Conservatives who , as per par for the course, actually deliver nothing that benefits our lives.
Yep, while the Brexit cheerleaders have been bloviating about a “viable walk away option”, the EU have actually taken measures to ensure they can cope with a No Deal outcome.
Looks like we’ve got two choices. Go for our unviable walk away option and the ensuing chaos, or blink first and look a bit foolish. Still not sure which way we’ll jump but we’re like a poker player about to go all in on a shit hand that the other player has seen.

Not sure why people are acting like any of this is a surprise - we've been told constantly how terrible this would be for over 5 years so it's not really news is it?

It’s a bluff, no it’s not we really mean it, actually we just want to clarify things, but we are fine with no deal and we spit on your 40% tariffs, but can we have special arrangements on security, flights, transport, data adequacy? Ha, we laugh in the face of your terms and we insist that this is sorted out by July, no August, did we say August? We mean October!

Thankfully the powers that be, and most of the citizens, don't believe the self loathing leftists who come out with this nonsense.
French radio with a team of political commentators ... are now quite literally
crying with laughter at the UK right now
That will make the populace start to revise their opinions will it?
A bunch of surrender monkey hacks from a country twatted by Britain time and again, certainly makes us laugh.
We are now a regional power with declining influence around the world.
Who told you that, Owen Jones?

Good job we’ve got a professional negotiator in charge.
