Proper weird

@gordondaviesmoustache points out a valid typo

You get excited - why?

Must be some solace after you embarrassing yourself by incorrectly trying to do the same

What do we learn from this? - well apart from the obvious fact that GDM has a better vocabulary thane either of us?
I laughed. I also laughed at mine and your posts. I gave you a like I think. Sometimes things are just funny.
And nobody says fount..

Which just represents the level of clear information dissemination to the people of Kent
I'm not in Kent so don't know what information has been disseminated but I can't see why anyone would think the KAP applied to locals who leave the county. But then your former colleague did think Brexit would be a good idea.

Oh yes they do. I'm sure his people would have corrected it if he'd got it wrong.

to be fair his DM's in FB have been all over the place for about a month - he has become very anti-French but similarly anti-Johnson and Farage whereas I have had a plethora of Brexit crap for about 4 years. I think the poor mite is confused.com

I've already prepared for the apocalypse by posting on here as a remainer with one of my other accounts - even going so far as to argue with myself occasionally. If it all goes tits up I'll be standing shoulder to shoulder with you and bob posting under the name of ******** and telling @mcfc1632 that he fucking owns brexit and has ruined my life.
I have a few weeks to prepare my responses

I am starting to form one in my mind along the lines of:

"Fuck - hasn't it all gone to shit - hadn't realised it would be like this....

I manage to take some comfort from the fact that at least I voted for it - I would be feeling a lot worse if I was one of the poor saps that are suffering all this because they were dragged out of the EU against their wishes....."

Does that carry the right balance of Bregret?

Will that get me off the hook and stop people blaming me?

Good point, and one I could get behind. There's a slight problem though, of the sticking points we know of LPF, and Fishing, there's also the position of the EU, who want any future disputes post agreement to be mediated by the ECJ.
Which is akin to us playing the Rags on Saturday, and having a referee with a
Rags badge on his shirt who's been a season ticket holder at Old Rope for 30 years.
Or even more biased - Howard Webb or Mike Riley

Bit more pressure

Headline is wrong though. This is due to Brexit not Covid.

All those Tories with homes in France (and Cyprus).
Headline is right - it is directly due to Covid restrictions - you would need to try hard to make it directly about Brexit

Thankfully, Cyprus has already established their own regime for determining which countries are allowed - and the UK is OK now and likely to stay that way

So if there is a no deal, they still want access to our sovereign waters to fish? !
Alternatively in a the advent of a no deal things will continue as they were, with road a rail access unrestricted as long as they can fish ? Might as well allow them to fish in our waters for a few years with a tapering off of rights over the next few years as firstly we don't have the fleets to fish the waters at the moment and secondly we can use this as a bargaining tool for the other things we want. Agreements and decisions made at the 11th hour are not unexpected. Any hard negotiations always go down to the wire.
Hurrah - delighted to see that someone else gets why having an extension on fishing on current terms for a fixed period is better than sealing a deal now with increased quotas etc.

We can trade concessions now - and again when the extension is nearly up

We can use the time of the extension to invest in fishing and be able to make use of the greater access at a later date - not really great benefit in January 2021

Sadly I feel there is too much personal unpleasantness on here to enjoy any debate im affraid. And its only the debate im after so will have to leave you to it fellas.

And now it looks as though Wales wants to split away as well..... Putin and the Little Englanders must be laughing their socks off this morning

And Ive woken up to a voice message from my travel agent asking me to call them this morning..... probably to tell me that my holiday next year has been cancelled. (it wont be covered under my annual travel insurance either if its Covid19 related)

Well at least they should draw some heat away from the Scots.

Is Cyprus a sovereign country then?

You could say it's 'because of brexit' and maybe the insurance would pay out then?

Its already being said its because of Covid ..... unfortunately the Eu wont allow travel from non Eu countries except for essential travel because of Covid19. Apparently i could be offered an alternative to Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus or Romania as , despite the fact these countries are in the Eu, these countries seem to have ''sovereignty'' and made their own rules.(in addition any trip to these countries does not affect my 90 day allowance in any 180 day period). Pain is tho that i can no longer rely on my EHIC Card to cover my pre existing medical conditions (my annual travel doesn't cover them) so thats going to be a massive increased cost on top of the mobile phone roaming charges if they are applied (but at least they're being capped at only £45 in any one month for 2021.

Can balance off some of the cost as I wont be hiring a car this year..... cant be arsed with the rigmarole of applying for an international licence.

Oh brilliant. Now if you'd said any of this a month ago it would be impressive.

Now I know why you wouldn't engage on fishing before. The Hindsight Express hadn't arrived.

Now tell us what "invest in fishing" means. Buy Dutch boats (already registered in the UK) and employ their redundant Dutch crews, or build new (abroad or in the UK with state aid?) and use Filipino crews? Where would we land the herring? East coast ports then take them by road to Holland or land the catch in Dutch ports where all the redundant Dutch fishermen live?
