I see the papers are back to abusing the French...that will help the mood music during on going negotiations :)

Also, the last two days has demonstrated that to manage your border efficiently you need the cooperation of the country on the other side, because it’s their border too. So if we end up with no deal or a deal with enhanced customs and administrative hoops to jump through and we don’t want lorry queues and annoyed drivers, then being on friendly terms with your neighbours is essential.

You bend over that far mate the earth gets in your way:-)

I thought Banks was supposed to be an astute businessman? If he can't work out the answer to his own question then he is thick as mince

Lufthansa have agreed to fly fruit and veg stuck in the blockade to the UK.

Those nasty EU bastards trying to prevent a UK food shortage.

Offload lorries' consignments into planes (from a French airport or are they taking it to Germany?) then find a lorry to pick it up at a UK airport....

It doesn't sound that easy. Who's paying for air freight costs?

Can you get an artic in a RAF Atlas?

Yes, they should, but how about we get our own house in order first? Otherwise it’s just a lot of this...

The point is that both sides need to find a solution bob. I like the French too, but I'm not so infatuated as to think they are perfect just because it suits my view on one issue

Just Macron allowing fellow citizens to get stuck without basic human rights. Amazing how people let their morals go.

He is. What could someone like Banks with estatablished links to tax havens like Gibraltar through his insurance business gain from low or no tax regimes in Freeports? The perfect environment to hide ilicit transactions and launder the proceeds.Oligarchs' paradise.

Sneaked out........is Hancock's speech cover for a shit deal or will a shit deal be announced to distract from what Hancock has just said?

A potential deal announced on Christmas Eve so Boris can announce it as "The best Christmas present for Britain." Hoping no fucker is arsed to read it. Sadly by the time the boxing day press comes out some have and finding fault with it.
