Might be wrong but there will be some hold up whilst everyone gets used to it but nothing like the hold up if there was no deal.

No deal would have made this week look tame.

I think they have yes but it’s obviously not the same as being an EU member.

I reckon because it’s all rushed, it’ll take some time to get used to it.

To be honest that’s the bit I am really interested in. My understanding is it’s still going to be horrendous because of the new processes. If they have agreed something that would smooth things then that will be a major benefit to business.

If I flew into germany got my 90 day stamp, could I get a train to poland without having to stamp out of germany and stamp into poland?


Or is it 90 days for a specific country

Amazingly our govt website isn't up to date on the subject the lazy fuckers lol - I googled it substituting a US citizen instead of a GB one because I assure we have the same 3rd country status- looks like yes....and no. As they are both Schengen you can move between but your 90 days start when you enter Germany so anywhere in the UK you are chomping into your "roaming time"

No customs formalities is listen as a specific EU-UK benefit in the new deal.

Pretty much. Deal done for today, concentrate on recovering from Covid, work out what the world looks like properly tomorrow (and by tomorrow I mean, some indeterminate amount of time. We'll be 'reopening' these negotiations forever).

Today was just the end of another phase - negotiations with others about trade deals - discussions and disputes with the EU - it will bubble along for ever and a day
