It has been updated again, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha LOL

On August 4 2010 it was published that [[Manchester City F.C.]] decided to sign Assulin <ref>{{ cite news|url= <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Manchester-City-transfer-news-Barcelona-midfielder-Gai-Assulin-set-for-City-move-article544321.html|publisher=Daily" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Ma ... sher=Daily</a> Mirror|accessdate=2010-08-4}}</ref> although no official announcement has yet been made.
Assulin has attracted a number of big clubs to the possibility of signing him after he cancelled his contract with the Spanish champions,
but City manager [[Roberto Mancini]] believes that the Eastlands club have come out as the frontrunners to sign the player. It is still thought this won't help them too much as they still chase a champions league spot, which they did not gain last year as they are not as good as Tottenham Hotspur. However, they will now take Manchester United's spot in the top 4 instead in the upcoming season, as Utd are doomed to failure due to their debt.

PMSL, brilliant mate

Re: Gai Assulin

so....is this lad coming-already signed- or going elsewhere!!!???.....

Re: Gai Assulin

He's Israeli so it will probably be Ass-OO-Leen

Update: the above is correct (Hebrew: גיא אסולין‎). As for his first name, Hebrew is written without vowels (which go below the consonants) so reading from right to left, the first character is a G (Gimel) and the second is Y (Yud). The third (aleph) is silent.

How you actually pronounce it depends on the vowel. If it's Patach ("a" as in cat) it will be Guy. If it's Tsere (the "ei" as in eight) it will be Gay. As his proper name is Yigal, it's probably the former.

The next Giovani Dos Santos
Are you saying that in a good or bad way Ntini? Dos Santos started off with a huge reputation at Barca, like most of their academy graduates do, then didn't really live up to the hype. But i thought he looked very impressive for Mexico. Sure, Dos Santos hasn't exactly become the next Messi, but he still got good ability, imo.

Assulin would be a gamble, but i think this would be a really nice signing for our squad if it happens. He's another versatile attacking player, has potential, wont have to be registered as one of the 25. Oh... and he's free. We can't lose really. Robinho, Ireland and Bellamy are probably leaving, so we could do with some extra back up to the likes of Silva and Johnson etc.
