Big-spending Manchester City are ready to snap up £34million-rated Barcelona kid Gai Assulin – for nothing.

The 19-year-old Israeli attacking midfielder has arrived for talks about a surprise move to City after cancelling his contract with Barca where he had the sky-high valuation in his deal.

Assulin made the Barca first team for a Cup tie at the age of 16 and is also his country’s youngest-ever cap. But a bad knee injury set him back and he fell out with Pep Guardiola’s coaching team.

Now City are set to snap him up and increase the quality of their emerging talent - an area they think needs to be improved.

Assulin could be signed up and sent out on loan as the mega-bucks club try to bring through the next generation of players and avoid spending millions in future.

and i dont think so, it looks like he's coming to have a trial soon.
get him signed up, free, doesnt have to be registered and i know youtube isnt a great way to tell what a players like he is a joy to watch. its cliche but he does remind me of messi

i heard it was more of a struggle recovering from injury and trying to get back in the 1st team, rather than him being shite.

He's not shit Duckstaa. He's just found it difficult to live up to the "next Messi" tag. He's young, Free and very talented. He could be great for us. Loan him out to Stoke or Birmingham for a season and let's see what he can do.

I must say, I know absolutely nothing about this lad, in fact I don't even know how to say his first or last name, but I want him.

though other places are saying they've taken him on trial including Spurs, Stoke, and Blackburn. Who knows what to believe.
