Seems his contract talks have stalled.

Ansu Fati understands that Barça, at the moment, cannot take on big cards. Therefore, Jorge Mendes has decided to demand a short contract, only 2 years , and then renegotiate a new higher contract. Barça, on the other hand, now want to sign a long-term contract in which the striker would charge a large number of variables, in addition to increasing the record year after year.


These proposals are not pleasing to Jorge Mendes, who has so far paralyzed the negotiations to take a break, aware that Ansu Fati wants to continue at Barça. The representative, however, does not want the player's Barça attitude to lead him to sign a contract that he considers unfair, no matter how bad Barça's financial situation is.

Barca want a one billion dollar release clause in his contract. Mendes does not want that as he wants Ansu Fati to have an exit plan if things go bad. That’s the impasse apparently.

That would actually be fantastic. Ive read that Ansu has better numbers for Barca than Messi had at his age, which is quite impressive. Don't get me wrong he's not the next Messi or better than him but IMO him , Foden , Haaland and Mbappe will be fighting it for Ballon D'Or one day.
 
I don’t think he will ever leave barca. It would be a shit show even more. But I guess I never thought messi would leave either
