I hope this isnt true either mate!;) Personally, I'd find a place in the squad for him if he didnt want to be loaned out, because very soon someone will offer him the opportunity he's looking for and they will be getting, a star of the future!

Just read a story about him going to Bayern's youth camp! (he was first in their history to fully complete all tasks and get maximum points in their grading system)

Bayern Munich fell in love with the young Coric for the very first time, only to find out that it was unrequited. At their youth camp there is a grading system which determines the potential of talented youth players. Coric was the first one in club history to fully complete all the tasks and score maximum points.

Despite every effort from the German giants, Coric's family instead decided to go to Austria, where Coric surprisingly joined Red Bull Salzburg’s youth academy.

IMO Pep needs at least 2 small midfield No8 virtuosos for his project here. As there are no readymade Xavis and Iniestas in this world, he'll try to find and nurture the young coming stars. Coric choosing Spurs would be a monumental f'ck up by City.

Why are people so ready to blame the club when a player won't sign for us? Have you considered the fact that that report wasn't exactly accurate? And it's not like we're the only top club he's apparently knocked back due to his demands not being met.

We might never know the whole story so we cant completely rule it out either mate! I love our Club as much as the next blue but just dont understand why people cant see, no club is perfect and sometimes we make mistakes and we could have made one here! The report was detailed with quotes and full of information about the meeting.(date/location/people) This wasnt the standard rubbish we read on twitter or the normal rubbish we see from the Mirror,Sun etc. Maybe the report isnt completely true, I cant prove it is either way but not sure how anymore can just discard it without knowing any differently.

I think we've had a great summer window and Txiki done an excellent job and in most cases, if things dont go to plan, I dont look to blame the club but in this case, the report was informative enough for me to atleast consider this is what could have happened and unless you can tell me you've heard differently, I think this is fair comment to make.

Genuine question: So you need the club to come out and give us a breakdown of negotiations before you believe anything and unless they come out and say its true, are you saying it couldnt possibly have happened? As its very rare for a club to release statements on transfers that went wrong, this is very difficult. (Just because the club dont tell us, doesnt mean it never happened)

Nobody on here has reported it as fact. The source of the report is and its just up to the individual, if they want to believe it or not mate! Not knocking the way you support the club in anyway, "in fact I respect you for it" but it also doesnt mean I love/support the club any less then you just because I do question if we've made an error. I'm just not prepared to "blindly" take everything the club does or doesnt say as gospel, rightly or wrongly thats just seems alittle naive to do so.

Those were the comments from one of the twitter accounts that was posted on here, earlier in thread. The original report that they were quoting never once used the words "he said something like" or "something along the lines of"

At that Worthington had no answer. Only unconvincing "We'll see, but you can sign."And at that moment the negotiations are for Coric's side have lost all meaning , and the company dispersed.

I think it's probably an age thing as social media just tends to give me a headache. You say people aren't stating it as fact but after just a few repeats of the same uncorroborated account of the meeting either on here, Twitter or whatever then it will be a 'proven fact' in a lot of peoples minds. That's why I'm happy there's a separate Twitter thread now as most of it is rubbish, anything that is true will come to light regardless.

I agree...read alot of rubbish on twitter but have "turned over a new leaf" recently and stopped posting it on here but this report seemed so informative, felt it was a good talking point for discussion and I guess in that respect it worked!;) cheers mate and appreciate the reply! ;)
