I think one can play before the group stage, and play for a different team in the group stages.

Have a feeling he'd get loaned out anyway, quite a lot of competition in the attacking midfield positions at the moment.

Never seen Coric play, but from his youtube compilations, doesn't seem a "like for like" replacement for Fernando.
