These days its hard to get excited about these deals. Chances are he never plays for City, when he arrives could go out on loan to Girona, Nac Breda then sold for 3-4m profit if he is any good.

Recent example Douglas Luiz at Girona we paid 8-10 to some Brazilian club now he is spending 2nd season at Girona. Doubt he will be part of City squad next year. But loaning him out 3rd year in a row also a bit strange imo.

While I understand getting payers at age 15-16-17 and giving them some academy training which must be high standard which they can improve with getting players at 18-19-20 and loaning them out where we have not much effect how they play them how they train them may not be a good idea.

And even the top youngsters more likely to end up like Sancho, Diaz, Matondo. Seems like there is a pattern there.

Last summer we got some kid Bernabe from Barca and another Gomes from PSG would put money on the scenario where in 2-3 years time they follow the above mentioned trio when their youth contract is about to finish. If they are good enough to get interest of course.

Reports seem to indicate that it is an 18-month loan back to Hadjuk Split, but City can decide to bring him back/loan him elsewhere next winter. I would hope that we will do that.

That's a good thing isn't it, we buy cheap sell at a profit and have the chance that they may be good enough and we have a top class player for little money. Bit quick to know what will happen with Gomes and Bernabe.
