Anthony Taylor (of Altrincham)

At the game I thought it was a handball too. However, the TV footage clearly shows that although he had his arm straight up like he was answering a question in class, the ball never hit his hand/arm.

Yeah, just seen the replay and you're right, it didn't hit his arm .... I'd have probably still given it though!!

The FA must be gutted Alty Ant didn’t win the game for united yesterday.
I fail to see how Pep has said anything untoward with the words he used. But the FA never cease to amaze me with their ineptitude. Social media and national media were awash with the allegations about Taylor before the game. And 99% of them were very occupational. Pep has said nothing along any of those lines.

Pep to be quized by the FA....touchline ban for Stamford Bridge incoming

Will that be like

1. Whats the capital of Albania?

Or will he get multiple choice for example

Jose Mourinho is

A) Manager of Chelsea B) Prime Minister of Australia C) A TV celebrity chef D) A C,unt

And if he doesnt get all the answers right he has to sit in the stand at Chelsea next to David Mellor.

after a question from the press about taylor being from Manchester

Guardiola had said: "He is going to try to do the best job like we try to as managers and football players.

"Mr Taylor is going to try to have a good game. The important thing is to focus on our game and, of course, knowing which opponent we are going to face and that is all.

"Hopefully he can make good decisions for both sides and it will a good game. All England and all Europe is going to watch us. That is the most important pleasure."

fuck all in it

Pep was asked the question to try and be led into slagging him off by the shit journalist. He firstly answered that he wasn't aware of the furore surrounding the ref then saying the world would be watching and he was sure he would do the right thing, or words to that effect. Not sure what he has to explain. In future all journalist's should present their questions prior to the interview to be vetted.

I have said since Mancini that our press office has not protected our managers from leading or aggressive questions, for me it has been our biggest failure. the ref`s failure was our 2 penalties

Taylor certainly saw the foul on Aguero as he clearly indicated he was allowing advantage.

Advantage ? If it wasn't for Silvas sublime skill we would not have scored, he would then have said that he had played on so no penalty and we would have been left fuming. You do not get much more of an advantage that a penalty, add to that another ref might have sent him off, clearly denying him a goal scoring opportunity.

Advantage my arse.

It all happened in less than two seconds. No one knows what will have been awarded or not. Lets give credit where it was due that he had a good game. The hope was we would be too good for United regardless which was the case.
