Don't really care about the fate of the anti-vaxxers - it's the people they infect I worry about.

Not got a problem with COVID patients paying for for their stay in hospital, but then most are not in for COVID, you have no chance of stopping staff going off with COVID even if the country was 100% vaccinated, it is idiotic to blame anti vaxxers for catching COVID just look at Gibraltar

Being vaccinated does not stop you infecting people - it only designed to keep you out of hospital - and the evidence really supports that it does do exactly that.

However they might be depriving a hospital bed (possible an ITU bed) from someone else who needs it - and whilst that’s true of anyone who ends up in hospital due to their own personal choices - getting something as simple as a jab isn’t asking someone to change their lifestyle so you make a fair point.

There are quite a few on here that can tell you that most of the early stages of Nazism have been done, propaganda, censorship,setting the public against sections of the public, banned from work, banning from education, banning from travel, banning from from venues, limiting food and drink options, in other counties the camps are already up and running and people are being banned from being on the streets at certain times, and these are civilized countries.

They would have the choice to be vaccinated or not. So in effect they would be excluding themselves from such events/activities.

I'm not sure the victims of Nazism had that choice. Bit of a daft comparison really.

The logic of that is to make refusing to be vaccinated a criminal offence like exceeding the speed limit. And overeating doesn't kill other people.

It stops you infecting most other vaccinated people. Are you saying my being vaccinated is not that good because it doesn't stop me from infecting the unvaccinated?

I’ve seen Gibraltar mentioned a few times in the past week, alluding to something , but never a factual reference. So I have no idea what it ‘is’ about Gibraltar that makes it mentionable, can you enlighten me with some factual links?

Not daft at all the first people rounded up by the Nazi`s were conscientious objectors and so seen as enemies of the state and spies, that is a choice as well.

If you think that being encouraged to have a vaccine that protects you and others, which you can choose to have or not, is in any way comparable to the millions who were shot in pits, gassed, starved or beaten to death, just because of who they were (not something they did or didn't do) then you're truly a brain-damaged fuckwit of the highest order.

Completely daft. People are being offered something to protect themselves and others. Not taking advantage of that is both stupid and selfish. Comparing somebody excluding themselves from certain social activities to people being imprisoned, tortured and worse by the Nazis is idiotic and offensive.
 
Can we stop comparing people who refuse to get vaccinated in the middle of an international pandemic to people who were forced into gas chambers based on their religious identity and killed by a government that blamed them for the fall of the economy and held an aspirational idea of what they considered to be the master race?

Too many people use the Nazis as an easy comparison to stuff without actually knowing what the Nazis actually stood for.
