Antoine Semenyo

Do we have a homegrown problem coming up with the squad? Most of the links since the summer are homegrown players. I kinda guess Ake and Stones might be off but does that give us a homegrown problem? Grealish as well maybe next summer

Livramento has popped up again, Semenyo counts as a homegrown player. Elliot Anderson another link couple weeks back.

On Semenyo maybe the club think a homegrown winger who’s about to go into their prime with a release clause at a reasonable fee is worth it.

I wonder how much lower the release clause is in the summer as opposed to January. If it is a significant spread clubs might wait.
Not a chance top sides let more fish into the pond even if his summer release clause was a bag of crisps.

The benefit of securing his services for the future, while also getting the player in January rather than for next season, far outweighs any value in waiting. The only way this happens is if his desired destination cannot pony up the funds in January. But I cannot see 65m being an issue for most top sides.

I am quite confident in predicting this lad will be Liverpool bound as Salah's replacement. After all - they might need him to get European football! lol

Don’t think we do have any home grown problem, Stones might stay anyway. We certainly don’t have a home grown problem that needs us to buy 3.Not sure there are any real links. My guess we don’t buy anyone in January and no more than a couple of players in the summer

Makes me laugh when the media list the clubs who would be interested in signing Semenyo. Rags and dippers on full alert, but obviously no mention of City, they would hate that if we showed our cards. We're pretty stacked in that area fwiw, so we probably don't have any interest

I wouldn’t be surprised salah goes in Jan to Saudi and the red scousers will get around £70-75 mill and use that on Semenyo

We’re monitoring, what exactly does that mean? There watching the highlights on match of the day.

City will be have analysis on pretty much every player in the Premier league, so in that respect it is probably true, but I will guarantee it right now we won’t be buying him in Jan and there will be a click bait headline in April we’re monitoring him again.

We could certainly do with another wide player, Semenyo can play on both sides although he normally operates off the left hand side.

It's a pity we didn't sell Savinho to Spurs in the summer, Oscar Bobb also hasn't offered much with the game time given this season so far.

Semenyo would definitely be an upgrade on both players I've mentioned in my opinion. Although I doubt anything will materialise our end in January.

Spurs could well be his destination as Frank is looking to sign a left winger.
