Any alternatives to Lescott

Federico Fazio- found info on web

Federico Fazio has recently been praised as one of the best young defenders in European football at the moment. The player, from Argentina, is currently playing for Sevilla and has already made his way into the first-team, despite his tender age of 21.

Federico Fazio has a stunning ability in the air, and at 6 foot 5, he uses that height to his advantage

The player is actually one of the top 10 most tallest players in La Liga. Fazio is now fully integrated into the starting XI at Sevilla.

Fazio has represented Argentina at all levels, including the full international side.

So impressive has the form of the player been, that Arsene Wenger's side Arsenal have apparently tabled bids for the youngster.

Argentina national team coach Diego Maradona is believed to be a huge admirer of the player, and he is expected to call up Fazio for the first-team more often in the coming months.

Valued by many in the region of 9 million GBP already, the player is likely to stay at Sevilla for a while after only recently signing a new contract.

Fazio is not just sensational in the air, but great on the ground and very mobile for such a big player. His tackling abilities are some of the best many have seen.

Good in the Air and 6' 5"
Good feet
Young and a full International with Agentina (i am sure our Zab and Tevez could have a word )
Ars winker thinks he is good
playing in good league in Spain
Valued at 9mill with City Transfer Tax say 12mil

got to be worth a punt
I think someone brought his name up a week or so back.

Yes, take the hint and go for someone else. That would be swell.

'Toure apart, mentality is the common weakness of City defenders: Wayne Bridge is easy-going, Richard Dunne prone to red cards and accidents and Richards has a five-year-old’s concentration.'

That's an outrageous comment. I know some five year olds with quite good concentration levels.

Whilst there are definite elements of truth in there, I'd expect a bit better from the Times.

It's absolutely true. Micah probably gets distracted by his own reflection.

seriously...we need to go all out for Van Buyten...he is the missing link alongside Toure.

+1

31 now,but still worth a two year deal.
Plays alongside Kompany for Belgium and still looks solid as a rock.
Head and shoulders above Lescott-literally.
