Any blues doing every game this season?

It does take a significant amount of money, but even more dedication.

It wasn't viable after we regularly got in Europe, the cheaper the trip, the more time it took and the less sleep you got, making you knackered the entire trip and there was little utility in it doing them on a regular basis.

Streymur stopped my run in 2008, I had done the previous 3 in 2003, but these days there are just too many.

Baring in mind it was 2008, the Streymur trip had two options to get there:

1. Charter from Manchester day trip - if it couldn't land (which was common) no money back - £400
2. Thomas Cook trip with 2 nights' stay £895 pp sharing or £995 pp single - but money back if you they couldn't get you there.

No one else went apart from the bodged trawler trip, I think tickets were £15.

Decided to fuck it off doing 100% after a long run there and then.

Then you see people doing complicated 4 days trips to Madrid to save on costs, including a night without sleep at all, and I reckon it is 60% dedication and 40% money.

The guys I know who are every match have plenty of money.
I think you would be surprised how much of the crowd at away games now is groups of lads 18-23 who are as the song goes ‘spending all their money on drugs (alcohol) and city’. They certainly don’t have ‘plenty of money’ but they do only have one priority and that’s city. It’s the same faces at every away game.

I’ve only missed 3 games so far this season home and away in all competitions.

That’s Kippax. Unaware what happened to him but he was about as hardcore as they came.
I‘m still about Gents and still do every game, been quite a few years since I’ve missed one. Took my young lad for a number of years so used to duck in and out with him, but I still don’t drink so I still just tend to arrive and miss the social scene and come home again. It’s generally a 12/13 hour day as it is from Norwich, just getting ready to leave now and won’t be home much before 2AM.

with regard to the money side of things, I run my own business and everything is centred around where and when City are playing without exception, I often used to organise business meetings around where city were playing in Europe. It wouldn’t be unusual to have clients from the Far East meet me in say Barcelona or clients from Europe fly and meet me wherever City were playing in Europe. Still do all the tours and looking forward to Japan this year.

With regard to my partner, she knew exactly what she was getting into from the start, and I made it perfectly clear that I wouldn’t change, but she’s compensated well by getting three holidays of her own abroad each year, while I stay at home and study the league table.

Important game tonight……. C’mon Citeh.

They’ll surely still live at home. Tickets and fares mount up.
