ANY City coach selling Ireland loses my support!

Ireland is missing Robinho - they had a good understanding.

Ireland is playing in City's team so where has this thread come from?

regarding his form, he's not playing as well as last season, but maybe that's down to his different role on the team. Now that we have 3 or 4 forwards, he doesn't have the license to break constantly from midfield. he'd be brilliant in Villa's set up.

Teams have to be built, and it doesn't happen overnight

Ireland problems are all in his head, he has got talent but hasn't shown it for a long time. i dont buy this playing out of position stuff, moving from the middle to the right doesn't mean you can't pass/cross, get involved in the game rather than watching it pass by.

if he went , then that's, that! but lets not forget this is spurious article in the mail! And if he did go, i'm sure we would sign someone better!

Hes either being used on the right of a 4;

Ireland---De Jong--Barry---Bellamy

Or the right of a 3;

Ireland---De Jong---Barry

I think that he needs to be played more central... in the middle of the 3, something like this;

De Jong---------------Vieira
-----------Ireland---------

This way he is given the freedom of the middle of the park, able to get into the game more and make better runs/passes.

The only problem with this is that we would have to have a front 3, we know mancini will have manu as the lone striker and personally i dont want tevez out on the right or left.

Ireland, our player of the season last year and by far one of the most talented footballers on our team.
Probably the only real creative player on our squad, but one who the new coach just can't find a way to make him effective in the new squad.

Ireland for me is pure class and 100% City through and through. Same for Onuoha, whose situation I too can't understand as to WHY is Boyata preferred to him? Ned did his time in waiting for his chance...now a 19yr old Academy player is taking his potential playing time.

Ireland just cannot leave City. NO WAY.

I do know that its paper talk and I don't believe the rumors one bit.
But since its and issue (being in today's paper), the thought of Ireland leaving City will make me turn on the City coach and management in a flash.

No man is bigger than the team, but Ireland is City "family" and there's NO WAY I would support any coach who sells him.

Can't agree with your point.

I actually support City... not a player. Any player. Or any manager.

So If Ireland goes I'll think the exact same way as when Gio was sold, Rodney was sold, Anelka was sold, Trevor Francis was sold... life moves on. And I will carry on supporting City like I always have.

Couldn't have put it better myself!

You say you know it's paper talk and don't believe it but still comment on it?

You say you know one man is bigger than the team then state you wouldn't support any manager who sells him?

I take it contradiction is your specialist subject?
